Period: Daily (during the operation)
- Check the Diesel Generator during operation to ensure it has not abnormal shaking or unusual sound
- Check the cooling system for generator coil
- Check the cooling system for diesel engine
- Check the coolant temperature to ensure it don’t Exceed the borderline heat according to the user’s manual or manufacturer instruction
- Check the exhaust temperature to ensure it don’t Exceed the borderline heat according to the user’s manual or manufacturer instruction
- Check, control and record vibration of all designated parts and ensure that all values are below allowance amount according to the user’s manual or manufacturer instruction
- Check the output voltage (All three phases) to ensure that all rate are balanced
- Check the stimulus voltage to ensure that all rate are normal
- Check and control Active / Reactive Power and ensure that all values are below allowance amount according to the user’s manual or manufacturer instruction
- Check the generator frequency to ensure that all rate are balanced
- Check and control generator power ratio in different phases to prevent negative ratio because of capacitor effect
- Check the radiator front damper is open (If not open it)
Period: Weekly
- Check the engine oil level and viscosity (add oil if necessary) according to the user’s manual or manufacturer instruction
- Check the connection of the radiator hoses and inspect them for signs of wear or leak, check the water level (add water if necessary)
- Check the fuel tank level, check connection hoses and inspect them for signs of wear or leak
- Check the radiator interface and clean dirt or dust with blower (If necessary)
- Check all parts for oil leak and clean it (If necessary)
- Clean all Genset parts with blower, tissue, brush and ensure no dust is left
- Check the oil pump and ensure its functionality
- Check the charge on the starting battery and examine the connections for looseness and corrosion
- Start and operate at least 2 times a week for 15 minutes and check the overall performance of generator
Period: Monthly
- Measure coil resistance with megger 1000 volt according to the service manual from the manufacturer
- Check the main power cable and its connectors to diesel generator and inspect them for signs of wear, cracking, fracture or change of color
- Check rear bearing lubrication and Injecting grease if necessary
- Check and control rubber damping and stabilizer between the base and foundation to ensure they are intact
- Check air and oil filter and change them if necessary
